Cards and More Shop Blog - Hooray - IT'S A GIRL!

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a new project made with products from the Cards and More Shop .

I had some more fun with another Dutch Doobadoo template.
You know how much I love these great templates!

This time I made a cute diaper shaped baby card.
I used pretty pink papers, and added ribbons and lace.

Obviously it's for a baby girl! :o)

Here's the inside of the card.
I used some small velcro tabs to keep it closed.

Here's a closer look at the inside.
Isn't that paper perfect?

Here's one last look at the closed card.

Other Materials Used:
Ink: Stampin Up - Melon Mambo;
Ribbon: Offray - White Picot Edge;
Lace: White - Pre-gathered.

These were the products used from the Cards and More Shop :

Miss Daisy Stamps - Becca's Butterfly

Hello, my friends!

I have a new card to share with you today,
using an image from Miss Daisy Stamps.
This one is called "Becca's Butterfly
which you can find HERE.
This lovely image comes with a full sheet of fabulous sentiments,
including the one I used on my card.

I have also used a pretty digital paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop at Stamping Studio.
The paper collection is called Summer Butterflies.
The paper used on this card is called Summer Butterflies Fluttering.

I thought this was a really pretty combination of image and paper.
So I actually coloured the image to match the papers.
Then to make the image stand out from the background,
I die-cut some solid cardstock and placed it behind the image.
It looks like she's standing in a doorway of a secret butterfly garden! ;o)
I popped the butterfly and the sentiment up on foam tape,
then I framed it all with the same dark cardstock.
Finally, I added some rhinestones to the corners,
and Stickles to the butterfly, bows, and flowers.

Here's a closer look at the sweet image,
and the butterflies in the background.

Other Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Colouring: Spectrum Noir Markers;
Die: Sizzix - Framelits Tags Rounded;
Bling: Crafts - Rhinestones, Stickles - Star Dust.

Tutti Designs - You Inspire Me

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!

Today I have combined three dies but I'm featuring the Musical Stave Die,
which you can find HERE.
I love this die!
There's something about it that makes me want to add it to everything! lol

I began with a white card base.
I added a layer of blue.
Next came the largest of the Nesting Stitched Rectangles die, of patterned paper.
I added this piece with foam tape.
I cut the Nesting Stitched Oval out of white cardstock,
added the sentiment, and adhered it to the center of the rectangle.
Finally, I cut the Music Stave from the same blue,
and adhered it in place over the oval.

Then I just added a sparkly ribbon bow to the top.

Here's a closer look at the detail in the great die:

My Precious Daughter Tags for Swedish House Crafts

Hello, my friends!

I'm happy to be sharing my first DT project for Swedish House Crafts today!

* * * * *
If you're not familiar with Swedish House Crafts, let me tell you a little bit about them.
It's a wonderful online shop, located in the United Kingdom.
They carry a specially selected assortment of Swedish made papers, stamps and dies.
You really have to go take a look at all the unique and inspiring products.
They are happy to ship anywhere in the world,
and great customer service is definitely a priority to the owner! :o

Okay...now onto my project:

You all know how much I love to make tags!
 These gorgeous Pion images were shouting at me to make them into tags! :o)
The sentiments were even included.
Take a look:

I simply trimmed out the images, and distressed the edges with both a tool and ink.
I matted everything with a coordinating cardstock.
Then I layered everything onto a cardstock tag base.

Each tag was decorated with flowers created with Gummiapan Flower Dies.
Then finally, some seam binding was added to the top of the tags.

Here's a closer look at the pink tag.
The flowers here were made using the Flower Dies 5 Set.
The leaves were created with the same dies.
They make such pretty flowers!
I made one large one for the bottom of the tag,
and some smaller ones for higher up.

Here is a closer look at the purple tag.
Another beautiful image and sentiment set.
The flowers are made with the Gummiapan Flower 3 Dies Set.
It makes a completely different flower. Isn't it pretty?

Here's a look at the different flowers side by side:

Here's another look at the two tags together.
I have two precious daughters.
When they were little, one's favorite colour was purple, and one's was pink! :o)

I hope you enjoyed seeing my tags today!

Tutti Designs - Tools Die

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!

Today is actually my sweet husband's birthday!
As you may have noticed, I have been making quite a few masculine cards lately.
ONE of them was made with his birthday in mind.
So every time he sees one of them, he says he wants THAT one for his birthday!
This is the guy who says..."Oh, no! You don't need to give me a card!"
Now suddenly he wants ALL of the cards! haha

After I made this card I put it away so that he couldn't see it,
which is apparently what I should have been doing all along! lol

This is using the fabulous Tools Die from Tutti Designs.
You can find it HERE.
I simply assembled the dies on the kraft and ran it through my big shot.
I wrapped the twine around the bottom,
and then adhered it to the black card base.
Finally, I added the "You are my hero" stamp.
My husband is my hero in many ways,
but with tools is definitely one of them! :o)

Here's a closer look at the detail of the cuts:

There are so many dies here to have fun with!
The options are endless!

Other Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Stamp: Simon Says Stamp - Kelly Purkey DUDE;
Twine: Stampin' Up - Baker's Twine;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black.
